We’ve seen countless headlines, both in Australia and overseas, about data breaches, human error and sensitive information leaks. As you may have already heard, laws have been strengthened with amendments to our privacy legislation, which came into effect on 22 February 2018.

Mandatory Notifiable Data Breach reporting will impact all companies with a turnover of greater than $3m, as well as all companies (regardless of turnover) that are credit reporting bodies, that are health and medical research businesses, or that hold Tax File Numbers.
