Protection for your car

Private Motor Insurance

Anyone who has ever had a car accident will know it is wise to have insurance for damage to your car, and to other people’s cars and property. Because there are so many types of policies available in today’s market, it is important you understand the basics before you make any buying decision. Price and detail of coverage will vary, so we encourage you to seek expert advice from an omnisure broker to ensure you are making an informed decision.

Who needs it

  • People who own a motor vehicle.

Covers that are typically included

  • Compulsory third party (CTP) – compulsory cover that covers claims made by third parties against you for personal injuries and attendant legal costs arising out of the use of your car when the person in charge of your car was at fault.
  • Third Party Property Damage (TPPD) – covers liability for damage to another person’s vehicle or to the property of others (for example, a fence) if you caused the accident. It does not cover any damage to your own car.
  • Third Party, Fire and Theft – TPPD cover AND cover for fire and theft to your own car. It also insures damage caused if your car is stolen.
  • Comprehensive – Comprehensive insures all of the above (except CTP), plus damage to your own car no matter who causes it. If your car is under finance, this cover us usually insisted on by the finance company.
  •  Our business is continuously changing and evolving, at the same time the threats to our business are changing and evolving also.  It is for this reason that we are grateful to the team at Omnisure who work tirelessly to ensure we are protected, for whatever may come our way.
